A river runs through the lush Rift Valley is known as the Luangwa National Park, Zambia. The Luangwa River is one of the main tributaries of the Zambezi, and one of the four biggest rivers of Zambia. Surprisingly, it is largely untouched by man – there is no commercial agriculture along its banks, no section of the river was dammed and there is little / no pollution problem. The result is a very natural and pristine river, deep in rural Africa, where the natural seasonal fluctuation of water (flooding through the vision of the river bed net during the dry season) can be seen with a team of wildlife adventure holidays in Africa.
The river is so natural that the accumulated water of the valley where the river has changed with the flood, are scattered. More camps years have been driven to the river and houses. Here is the river king!
It is said that the Luangwa River in Zambia, the system is the largest river in Africa and is unchanged and it is certainly the most important element that all 9050km2 park holds more than 60 different species and over 400 different species of live birds.
A lot of game here from Zambia remains largely unaffected by the onslaught of tourists. Results of the water in the lush vegetation at various herbivorous animals and livestock, including buffalo, elephant, puku, impala and the rare sub-species of giraffe feeds, Thornicroft Crawshay zebra, that are here. Health and important predators herbivores feed like a lion, hyenas and leopards. In fact, a BBC documentary offers an average density of a leopard from 2.5km2 – twice the density in Kruger, South Africa included.
The best time to see game is during the dry season from April to October. As the river dries animals visit the lagoons and backwaters to drink more often. See here in their natural environment is breathtaking.
As light rain began to fall shortly November, most of the animals give birth to their young, and because the grass is always spectacular observations of young mothers and can be seen. The landscape starts from a golden-brown, dry and dusty country change to an emerald green – known as the green season in Zambia.
Zambia, Luangwa Valley also means that people can boast of very rich, with the lives of tropical birds, including birds that live near water and the birds that prefer drier habitats in the forests and plains. The best time to see these birds is the rainy season (November to March offers) because of the rain-abundant food for them. Summer migrants are also in the Luangwa Valley at this time. Flocks of birds can be recorded and a special web site is a breeding colony of storks, yellow-burdened with their pink plumage. The rain does not fall consistently and rarely lasts for more than a few hours, so you can still enjoy safaris and bird watching all.
In April and May, heard the rain and the landscape begins to dry. The water starts are Luangwa rivers and sand banks (the signature of the Luangwa River drop suspended). Once soaked streets begin to dry and season again being the main Safari. As the green grass starts to golden brown really understands the Luangwa River in turn is really the lifeblood of this pristine landscape in the Luangwa National Park in Zambia.
